FAQ

Here we try to answer questions we receive on a regular basis.  If we don’t cover what you want to know here, please send us an email or give us a call.  If we do answer what you need to know, but want a little more info, get in touch with us and we will be happy to go over anything you need.

1.  Will other uppers work with your 22LR lower?

YES any milspec AR-15 type upper will work with any of our AR-15 length lowers.  This includes the  KR-22, KR-15, KR-15C and KR-15P.

2.  Will your uppers fit other brand lowers?

YES our AR-15 type uppers will fit any other milspec AR-15 type lowers.

3.  What is involved in changing uppers, and how long does it take to swap one out?

To change an upper, first ensure the weapon is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction and remove the magazine.  Then the rear take down pin and front pivot pin must be pushed to the side, and the upper separated from the lower.   Then the upper you wish to put on must be set in place, the pivot pins lined up and pushed back into position, replace the magazine with the proper caliber magazine.

The first time you do this it may take as long as a minute, with practice, it can be done in under 15 seconds.

4.  I am not really sure what i need, can you help me with putting together a rifle that meets my needs?

Absolutely give us a call, and we will help you to get a set up that will do what you need it to do.

5.  I like what i am seeing here, but can i change a few things, or add some components that I don’t see listed as for sale?

No problem, we can make it how ever you want it, and we have dealerships with most major manufactures of accessories.  If you don’t see it listed on the site, we can probably get it for you at a very reasonable price, just let us know what you want.

6.  Do you do any of those 308 type AR rifles?

We are currently developing the KR-10 series of rifles.  They should be available by the end of January 2011.  We are working on a rifle that will revolutionize the AR-10 size rifle by making more modular and adaptable then any other before.
Keep checking back as there will be a new page added to the site soon on this topic.

7.  Do you do any big bore rifles, like the .458 or .50 caliber ARs I’ve seen?

Most of those rounds are of proprietary design, and they are difficult to license, so we are currently in development of 2 .458 caliber rounds, that will be an open design and based on commonly available brass (no more waiting for once a year runs of specialty brass).  One will be for the standard AR-15 platform and one for our KR-10 / .308 length action.

8.  What is this nano ceramic coating and treatment on your barrels?

Basically it is a ceramic surface treatment that makes cleaning your parts much easier, and the bore coating eliminates the need for barrel “seasoning” or “brake in”.
You should never need a brush again to clean your barrel, in fact we recommend against using any brush in your bore as it will damage the ceramic treatment (don’t ask us why a brush will damage it and a bullet won’t but that is what the engineers who designed the stuff said, and we believe them).

9.  What is the Melonite finish on your non stainless  barrels?

It is a nitride finish similar to the tenifer finish on Glock slides.
This finish is the most durable we have ever seen, it will not rust and i am yet to hear of anyone being able to shoot out a Melonited barrel.

10.  What exactly is covered by your warranty?

Pretty much anything other then GROSS ABUSE, i.e. ” I ran it over with my ****** to see if it would hold up and i broke it.  /  I ran the precision upper on my registered full auto receiver and now it doesn’t hold good groups anymore.”   or INTENTIONAL DESTRUCTION , i.e. ” I wanted to make some modifications to it, so i used a band saw / dremmel / torch and now it doesn’t work right”. The only part not covered is the extractor, due to some folks who apparently use it as a high pressure test for hand loads (which we only recommend using factory ammo) we have had to exclude this across the board as an exemption from the warranty.   Just about everything else is covered, we make quality products and we stand be them all the way.
